What Say Patriots Backers?

"The Pats win by at least two touchdowns."

So says Erik Scalavino, a writer for, as part of his Steelers -Patriots Keys to the Game. What are those keys? Here's a brief overview:
  1. "Rein in Roethlisberger": "In 2007, when [Ben Roethlisberger's] played well, the Steelers have won; when he hasn't, they haven't. This season, more than half of his picks have come in Pittsburgh's three losses (all on the road). In those games, Roethlisberger has also been sacked an astounding 15 times."

  2. "Harness Harrison":Try these stats on for size: Heading into Week 13, Harrison had 58 total tackles (50 solo). Throw in 8.5 sacks, an interception, a pass defensed, six forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries and you have the makings of a Pro Bowl-caliber season.

But it's not only on defense that Harrison has excelled for the Steelers. His 10 special teams tackles ranked second on the team.

Not bad for a guy who barely made the team a few years ago

  3. "Special teams: Win the field position battle"

  4. "Intangibles: [Anthony] Smith's Statement"

It's tough to argue with those, and if the Patriots dominate the line of scrimmage (i.e. sack Ben Roethlisberger repeatedly while limiting the Steelers rushing game) it will be a long afternoon for fans of the Steelers.
