The New York Times loves the Steelers

With the advent of the NFL playoffs the universe of teams to cover has been reduced significantly; and so long as the Pittsburgh Steelers are a part of that universe the nation's paper seems intent on making the Steelers America's team.

Most recently, a feature story about the NFL's defensive player of the year discusses in detail the arduous climb that James Harrison had to make in order to achieve what he has.

Just as interestingly, the article includes Mike Tomlin's reaction, while he was coaching in Tampa Bay, to Mr. Harrison's tackle of a Cleveland fan during the 2005 season.

The Times is also offering an online feature, Inside the Playbook that is worth a peek.
